This is a very nice carving by Kalvin Luther. Kalvin comes from the Kaibeto area of the Navajo Nation and is known as a very fine Kachina Doll artist among his people. Kalvin calls this piece CORN DANCER. This Kachina stands 14 inches from the base to the top of the headfeathers. The breechcloth was made out of deerhide. The sash CORN DANCER is wearing has been decorated with numerous seashells. As always Kalvin has paid very close attention to detail when making this piece. This piece has been signed by the artist on the bottom of the base. If you would like to see more photos of this item contact me, and I will email them to your address.
